Venue space calculator for Malta
See the room size you need, or how many guests fit.
Only the numbers you type are used. Boxes that start with a number say "Ask your venue": change them to what your venue tells you.
Guests and layout
Changing the layout puts its starting value back.
Space for extras
Square metres for anything that is not guests. Leave empty what you do not need. Your venue or supplier can tell you the size.
The room (optional)
Type the room size to see how many guests fit. Ask the venue for the size of the space you would use.
If you type an area, it is used instead of length × width.
How it works
- 1
Choose a layout: standing, seated at tables, or rows of chairs.
- 2
Space for guests = guests × square metres per guest for that layout.
- 3
Add the space for extras like a dance floor, a bar, a buffet or the band.
- 4
Type the room's length and width (or its area) to compare. Guests that fit = (room area − extras) ÷ square metres per guest, rounded down.
- 5
The venue's own legal limit always wins. Ask them for it.
Questions
Why do some fields already have numbers?
So the tool works straight away. Each starting value is marked "Ask your venue": it is only a place to start. The venue knows its own room and its own safe limit, so ask them.
Can I trust the "guests that fit" number?
Only as a first check. Pillars, doors, steps and fire exits all take space. The venue's own maximum is the number that counts.
Is my plan saved?
No. The numbers stay on this page in your browser. We do not save them and we do not send them anywhere. If you reload the page, they go back to the start.
